The Monday Blues

Hi friends! Sorry we have been MIA for the past few days. Life has a way of making that happen. All our responsibilities and commitments seem to take all the hours in a day, and the past few days we’ve had a lot of responsibilities and commitments. I don’t know about you all, but our weekends seem to fly by, and before we know it it’s Monday morning again. We try and pack family time, fun, errands, and a little down time all into two days. That is not an easy task, and most of the time I find myself scrambling to get it all done. But despite all the stress lately, we did manage to have a fun weekend and do some exciting things that we wanted to share. We’re not going to write about anything specific today, but instead just tell you about our weekend. Feel free to comment back and tell us what you all did this weekend.

Surprisingly, we had a cold front come through Friday morning- just in time for Friday night. Mine and Fletcher’s favorite time of year is when the weather cools down. It’s perfect for patio sitting and tea sipping. We love to be outside, and so this weekend was a perfect atmosphere for that. Cloudy and in the low 60’s. Can’t get much better than that in my opinion. This weekend was full of soccer games, donut shops, our favorite restaurants, and rides with the windows down. A great combo! Saturday morning started with a trip to Mustang Donuts- Fletcher tries to steal all the best ones by the way. His favorite is the Strawberry glazed, and he’ll pretty much do anything to even get a sniff. After we got our dozen donuts we headed off to a soccer game where Fletcher was the star of the show. Kids were all over him, rolling around on the ground and giving him a TON of love. I love to see little kids play with pups, it’s adorable. Fletcher’s really great with kids despite his size, and aways ends up just rolling over and soaking it all in. Totally adorable and hilarious at the same time. We like to think he knows what he’s doing, because he can sure attract a crowd. Saturday evening was kind chaotic. We met some friends and their doodles at Klyde Warren to hear the Dallas Symphony, it was a great atmosphere and a perfect night. BUT- when you have three puppies all together, things get crazy. Let’s just say people take their symphonies pretty serious around here. So we ended up loading everything up and going to one of our favorite spots in Dallas- Katy Trail Ice House. The atmosphere there is much more relaxed and not quite as up tight. Of course there was good food and football to be had, so that was what most of the evening consisted of. I love Katy Trail because of all the pretty lights in the trees, and the noisy atmosphere. Plus it’s about the most dog friendly place you could find. If you’re not prepared to have a dog near you at every table, this may not be your place- but we love it. Sunday of course found it’s way real quick and before I knew it it was time to take Fletcher to meet his grandparents (Lolly and Pops.) Fletch has been having some bad allergies and we don’t know what causes them. So that was our weekend. Full of fun, good drinks, good food, and football. I love a good weekend, but sometimes just wish they would stay a litttleeee bit longer. But I guess it makes it more exciting each time Friday comes around, am I right?

Thanks for reading about our crazy weekend, and let us know what you did! We would love to hear all about it. Don’t forget to like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram. Also, check back later for a special post about one of our favorite pup friends. There will be lots of photos and fun questions, so you won’t want to miss that post. Thanks for reading friends!
